Not legal advice

Casesearch is a legal research tool, not legal advice. Using it does not create an attorney-client relationship, and nothing it returns is a substitute for the judgment of a licensed attorney. The product surfaces authorities to help you research faster. You are responsible for reading the full opinions, confirming every citation, and making the legal decisions. Always verify citations before relying on them.

Accounts

You are responsible for the information you provide and for activity under your account. You must give an accurate email address and keep your access credentials secure.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by interfering with the product, reverse-engineering it, scraping it at scale, or using it to violate any law or third-party right.

Plans and billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis as shown at signup. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. We may change pricing with reasonable notice. There is no free standing plan; the interactive research console on the site is provided for evaluation.

Your research and ownership

You retain rights to the research questions and work product you create. We claim no ownership over your queries or your output, and we do not sell your research questions.

Service availability

We work to keep the service available and reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Enterprise plans may include specific service-level commitments.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, including any warranty that authorities returned are complete, current, or correct for your matter. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Casesearch is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms. On termination, we will delete or return your information as described in our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated, and continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
